Community Harvest Project (CHP) is a non-profit farm that engages volunteers to grow fresh fruits and vegetables to provide to those experiencing hunger. Through their volunteer farming programs, education initiatives, and community partnerships, CHP brings thousands of community members together each year to improve access to healthy foods for individuals and families in need across Worcester County.
In 2016, CHP engaged over 10,000 volunteers who helped grow and donate over 950,000 servings of produce throughout the MA hunger relief network. Make a donation or join the thousands of people who volunteer with us every year. We can’t do it without you. Ready to get your hands dirty?
More information is available on their website.
Throughout the growing and harvesting seasons . . .
Community Harvest Project (CHP) welcomes anyone who would like to stop by Monday through Saturday 9:00am - 12:00pm to see what we do and how you can help out. When dropping in, the team will engage you in whatever farm activity is happening that day. You can expect to learn more about farming, non-profit hunger relief work and community as you will be joining a diverse group of volunteers that visit the farm.
If you would like to organize a group visit for another organization or your work team please contact Wayne McAuliffe for more information. CHP is always in need of team leaders as well as volunteers. CHP fully trains and supports team leaders to make everyone's experience at the farm a pleasant one.
