Background: Fr. Antony, who is from South India, was ordained on April 12, 1985. He is incardinated in the Diocese of Tiruchirappalli in India. He served as an associate pastoral care director, pastor, school administrator, and principal in his diocese until he came to the United States in 1993. Fr. Antony completed a master’s in special education at Manhattan College in the Bronx, New York. While serving as an associate pastor at St. Dominic Church in the Bronx, he began preaching for the poor around the world. At present, Fr. Antony is serving at Ss. Joseph and Michael in Union City, NJ. Fluent in Spanish, Fr. Antony has traveled to Central America where he has witnessed the plight of the truly disadvantaged. His tremendous passion towards the poor and the needy is expressed in the projects he personally supports in India in the areas of children’s education, elderly care and micro-credit programs for women.
